On data centers, David’s position is straightforward: they have to play by our rules and pay their fair share – and it must be up to local communities to decide for themselves. He asks himself the same question a lot of us do: how do we leave this community better for our children and grandchildren? That’s why he’s a fierce advocate for protecting our environment, safeguarding our air, water, and land, and holding every corporation and special interest accountable.

We must have strong environmental protections in place to protect Maryland families. Maryland has some of the strictest environmental regulations in the country. In Congress, David will fight for similar regulations nationwide.

David opposes any deal that shifts the cost of data center operations onto working families. Data centers must foot the bill, including paying for the cost of their utilities and ensuring that consumer utility bills do not increase.

David has always believed that economic growth and environmental protection are both possible, but only when the rules are fair, our leaders have courage, and the people have a voice. That’s what he’ll fight for in Congress.
