From groceries to gas, Trump’s tariffs have put an added tax on working families that have turned basic living into barely surviving. In Congress, David will work to repeal these tariffs and enact solutions that alleviate this cost burden while championing legislation that expands affordable and equitable housing, healthcare, energy, and childcare. 

In Congress, David took steps to relieve expenses for working families in many such areas.

• Urged Congress to increase the supply of affordable housing through federal intervention, highlighting Maryland’s high costs, where median-income families have only a 1-in-5 chance of homeownership.
• Pushed for expansion of the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit to build more affordable units and ease family financial pressures from rent and mortgages.
• Supported the Affordable Insulin Now Act (HR 6833), which passed the House, to lower insulin prices for families.

Above all, David knows well that affordability is at the forefront of every American’s mind right now. Regardless of their political affiliation, everyone is impacted by the price of groceries and gas. Unfortunately, Trump and MAGA Republicans have done nothing to make a difference. That’s why David is working hard to support Democrats across the country to take back the House and deliver a Democratic majority for the American people.
