Frederick, MD – Today, UNITE HERE Local 25, the union of hospitality workers in and around Maryland’s Sixth District, announced its endorsement of Congressman David Trone’s re-election campaign. The latest endorsement highlights the growing momentum of labor support behind the campaign in recognition of Trone’s unwavering support of unions in Maryland and across the country.

“Unions built the American middle class and continue to play an integral part in strengthening our economy and our democracy,” said Congressman David Trone. “I’m honored to receive the endorsement of UNITE HERE Local 25, an incredibly diverse group of folks who make our communities stronger every day. The services we have come to rely on daily would simply not exist without them, and it is critical we continue fighting for them in Washington.”

UNITE HERE Local 25 is the union of hotel, restaurant, and casino workers in the Washington D.C. metro region. Members make up more than 40 hotels and related businesses. UNITE HERE Local 25 joins a growing list of unions supporting Trone’s campaign, including IBEW Local 24, IBEW Local 26, IBEW Local 307, IBEW Local 1200, SMART International, SMART Local 100, and IAFF Local 3666.

David Trone served Maryland’s 6th District in Congress from 2019-2025. He is running for re-election in Congress to fight Trump and his MAGA agenda, protect our neighbors and our rights, and end the tariffs that are causing prices to keep going up for Maryland families.
