Gaithersburg, MD. – Today, Congressman David Trone announced his leadership team for his
campaign for Maryland’s 6th Congressional District. The team includes many veterans of Sixth
District politics and is entirely composed of Marylanders.
“This race is personal for me because I know the Sixth District—its communities, its challenges,
and the people who call it home. I’m proud to be supported by a team with deep roots here as
well, people who have strong relationships across the district and a proven record of results.
Together, we’re driven by a shared commitment to putting the Sixth District first and doing
whatever it takes to make sure we deliver for the people we’re fighting for,” said Congressman
David Trone.
Sonny Holding will serve as Campaign Manager. He previously served as Chief of Staff to
Congresswoman April McClain Delaney (MD-06) from January 2025 to January 2026. Prior to
that, he was Deputy Chief of Staff and District Director to Congressman Trone. He also served
as District Director to Congressman John Delaney. He is a proud Marylander and attended
Prince George’s County Public Schools. He has worked for Maryland’s Sixth District since 2012.
Nathaniel McCarthy will serve as Communications Director and Chief of Staff. He previously
served as Communications Director to Congressman Rob Menendez (NJ-08). Prior to that, he
worked for Congressman Trone since 2017 in various roles. He grew up in Hagerstown, Maryland, and attended Washington County Public Schools.
Sarah Dreyer will serve as Deputy Campaign Manager in charge of political and voter outreach.
She was previously the District Director to Congresswoman April McClain Delaney (MD-06) from January to December 2025. Prior to that, she was Director of Outreach for Congressman Trone. She has proudly lived in and worked for the Sixth District for the last seven years.
Tyler Jessee will serve as Deputy Campaign Manager in charge of operations and scheduling.
He previously served as Director of Scheduling and Operations to Congressman Johnny
Olszewski (MD-02). Prior to that, he was the Director of Operations to Congressman Trone. He
is a native of Thurmont, Maryland, and attended Frederick County Public Schools.
Sasha Galbreath joins the team as a Senior Strategic Advisor. She previously served as
Communications Director and Senior Advisor to Congresswoman April McClain Delaney
(MD-06) from January to October 2025, prior to which she was Deputy Chief of Staff and
Communications Director to Congressman Trone. Raised in Maryland, she proudly graduated
from Baltimore County Public Schools and worked for Maryland’s Sixth District from 2021 until
2025.
