Frederick, MD – Today, the entire District 39 slate proudly announced their endorsement of David Trone for re-election to Congress. The slate includes Maryland Senate Majority Leader Nancy King, Delegate Gregory Wims, Delegate Lesley Lopez, and Gaithersburg City Councilmember Rob Wu, Candidate for Delegate for District 39.
District 39 encompasses all or part of Gaithersburg, Germantown, Clarksburg, Montgomery Village, Darnestown, and Washington Grove, among others, in Montgomery County.
These dedicated public servants join an expansive list of elected officials and community leaders from every corner of the Sixth District who are endorsing Trone. This coalition includes Frederick County Executive Jessica Fitzwater, Frederick County Council President Brad Young, At-Large Frederick County Councilmember Renee Knapp, Poolesville Town Commission President Jim Brown, Middletown Burgess John Miller, Smithsburg Mayor Donnie Souders, Boonsboro Mayor Howard Long, Keedysville Mayor Ken Lord, Kitzmiller Mayor Robert Reckart, Tiara Burnett and Caroline Anderson of the Hagerstown City Council, Eugene Frazier and Rock Cioni of the Cumberland City Council, and former Cumberland Councilmember Laurie Marchini, as well as IBEW Locals 24, 26, 307, and 1200, SMART International, and SMART Local 100.
